What can you expect from our ‘Open mat’ sessions?

Open Mats is an open training session in which there is no organized instruction but the mats are open for you to use. Unlike our regular Muay Thai classes which follow a fairly predictable routine consisting of instructional time and drills, Open classes allow you time to choose what you focus on and apply the techniques you have learned.

Our Open Muay Thai classes allow you to:

  • Improve your skills through bag work and additional pad work

  • Ask your instructors and more advanced training partners questions

  • Improve your cardio and endurance (with access to a range of gym equipment including weights)

  • Get comfortable with sparring. (Our open mat sessions on Fridays focus specifically on sparring, with students from other Muay Thai gyms often visiting!)
